Abstract
Saint Chromatius presents the Christian life as a way of salvation. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, is the supreme model to imitate on this pilgrimage home to heaven. Further insight into Saint Chromatius' vision of the Christian life can be gained by considering five different lists of virtues that appear in his writings. Faith and justice have a special place in these lists, where justice can be interchanged with the term "good works". In all, Saint Chromatius' vision of the moral life is one where faith is lived out in a special way by good works, which especially involves taking care of the poor.
