Abstract
The article compares the contributions featured in the Rivista Italiana di Filosofia Politica in the thematic issue dedicated to the philosophy of hope (5, 2023) with the perspective of Vittorio Possenti outlined in Una nuova partenza. Teologia politica e filosofia della storia. After a brief introduction that situates the discussion on hope within the context of philosophy, the first part seeks to identify possible common threads in the journal's articles, with the aim of bringing to light a proposed philosophy of hope. This is followed by a comparative reflection on Possenti’s volume, highlighting both commonalities and differences. Finally, some brief concluding remarks are offered on a few open questions.
