Resumen
Summary: The Sentences of Peter Lombard is the material that St. Thomas uses to elaborate his commentary, more specifically the 48th distinction of the first book, based on which he concludes that it is possible for a human will to be in conformity with the divine will, especially when that conformity is moral—which is the kind of conformity that interests us in this article. After answering serious objections and offering some preliminary answers, Aquinas tries to address this intricate question by offering some clues. Not satisfied by the manner in which Peter Lombard deals with the problem, Aquinas indicates a possible solution using the four causes, but he presents this solution in a preliminary and schematic manner.
