Resumen
Summary: In this contribution we want to verify the place assigned to the liturgy in the liturgical horizons opened by Vita consecrata, through the study of the documents that accompanied the various synodal phases, starting with the Lineamenta, which already offer important indications, and then moving on to the Instrumentum laboris, the Propositiones and finally the apostolic exhortation Vita consecrata. The liturgy, the centre and summit of the Church’s life, must also become a fortiori the centre and summit of communities of consecrated life. Eucharistic celebration, listening to the Word, the Liturgy of the Hours and the sacrament of Penance, represent their source of spirituality but also their horizon of fraternal life. Furthermore, consecrated persons are called to live a transfigured life; the liturgy could be one of the main sources of such a transfiguration.
