Resumen
This article, inspired by reflection on the Year of Faith (2012-2013), deals with the existential relationship between the Virgin Mary and the virtue of faith, as a hallmark of the teaching of the Second Vatican Council, the papal Magisterium and post-conciliar theology. Mary is the believer, the first believer of the new and everlasting Covenant, and so is our companion in the faith of the Church, the true pilgrim in faith, who becomes the model and type of Christian belief and who can be said to be the mother and sister of believers.
